Peterborough, NH – Hyndsight Vision Systems, a fast-growing vision technology company located in Peterborough, NH, has recently been named one of Construction Equipment Magazine’s Top 100 Products for 2017. The magazine’s annual awards serve to emphasize innovations in the construction industry, highlighting manufacturers who are investing in research and development which offer equipment users greater productivity, efficiency, and safety.

Hyndsight’s Journey is a portable turnkey vision system used on heavy construction equipment for better visibility. The system is comprised of a custom designed camera and monitor with a sunlight readable screen, antenna set, and two mounts in a solid case. It requires no internet or cellular connections for transmission and is rugged, weather resistant and provides a “real-to-life” visual field. It provides real-time video stream through a direct wire-free connection (camera to monitor) and a clear image that can transmit up to one-third of a mile with direct line of sight.

A recording version of Journey was recently released called Capture. This system delivers the next step in portable vision and recording systems for safety monitoring. Users can enjoy all the benefits of Journey, but with the ability to record simultaneously, while still providing real-time video stream, remote on/off capability, and high definition recording quality that can be stored on a 32 MB SD card for easy removal and downloading.

One of the revolutionary highlights of Capture is that it can be mounted literally anywhere with the ability to pair-up to four cameras per monitor with each camera having separate recording capability. To effectively eliminate blind spots, Capture can be positioned for both rear and side viewing on cranes, bulldozers, or other heavy equipment to work in hazardous areas that need to be closely monitored. “The portability of the system makes this perfectly suited for multiple use applications,” according to Thompson.

“Hyndsight is honored to have been named one of Construction Equipment Magazine’s Top 100 Products for 2017, notes Melissa Thompson, CEO of Hyndsight. “Journey and Capture have enjoyed tremendous popularity in the construction industry where safety and security recording are huge factors. Having recording for safety has become paramount in many industries including construction.”
